Sulphur Springs 6th Graders Visit KHTS
KHTS listeners got a real treat on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. During our afternoon drive-time show with Shaun Valentine, students from the Sulphur Springs School stopped by the KHTS studio to share their recent project. The 6th grade students created their own music CD of songs that they wrote and performed under the direction of Mrs. Kim Treat, who teaches upper grade music, chorus and computer lab at Sulphur Springs School,
The project was inspired by Mrs. Treat – who wrote her first song when she was in the 6th grade. She thought it would be great to have each 6th grade class compose, record and copyright their own CD. The students were thrilled to have songs from their CD played on the air.
