Santa Clarita Artists' Association
On July 19, 2007, Santa Clarita’s Hometown Station welcomed the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association to the KHTS Community Resource Station. We featured Sandy Fisher, President and Laurie Morgan, Vice President of the Association on the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight Show – hosted by Janice Murray and sponsored by Valencia Acura .
The Santa Clarita Artists’ Association was founded in 1989 by a group of local artists who had a desire to share their expertise, knowledge, and enthusiasm for art. The Association has a broad range of talent from professional to novice. Members provide the ability to encourage, assist, develop, and exchange ideas and information in building on artistic skills.
As Santa Clarita’s arts community continues to grow, The Santa Clarita Artists’ Association is doing their part to promote art in the SCV by “Making Visual Art Visible”.
They currently offer scholarships to graduating seniors in the William S. Hart School district. They also assist their membership with the marketing and business aspects of their artwork. Their emphasis is to be a support group devoted to the enrichment of each member’s experience through the visual arts.
We thank Sandy Fisher and Laurie Morgan for stopping by the KHTS Community Resource Station to talk about this awesome organization.
