Runner's Role In Amber Alert Premieres In Hollywood
Senator Runner and Sheriff Lee Baca will be in attendance
(SACRAMENTO) --- Senator George Runner's (R-Antelope Valley) critical role and leadership to enact the Amber Alert in California is being captured in film in a new documentary premiering tonight in Hollywood. "Since 2002, California's Amber Alert has recovered 118 children. This has been one of the most effective and impactful programs that we have instituted," said Runner.
Runner will be speaking at the premiere, which will be at the 20th Century Fox Studio. Lou Ferrigno will be the Master of Ceremonies at the premiere and the documentary will star Elizabeth Rohm. Runner said, "I hope this documentary will increase awareness about the importance of the Amber Alert and how it really can and does save lives."
The premiere begins at 7:00 p.m. and all proceeds will go to benefit the Sheriff's Youth Foundation.
