Plans Underway for New Santa Clarita Valley Fire Station
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has approved a contract for the Los Angeles County Fire Department to conduct a supplemental Environmental Impact Report for Fire Station 108 in the unincorporated Santa Clarita Valley, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich. When completed, the supplemental EIR will include a description of the final location, project goals and objectives, project features, existing conditions, environmental settings, impacts, and mitigation measures for Fire Station 108. Supervisor Antonovich also requested that the Fire Department evaluate alternative sites. As required by state guidelines, the supplemental EIR will be submitted for public review and comment upon completion.
