"Monster Mash" Singer Passes Away
Bobby "Boris" Picket dead at age 69.
In a sad day for Santa Clarita, Bobby "Boris" Picket has passed away due to complications regarding his battle with leukemia.
Picket was best known for his classic Halloween song "Monster Mash," which is still played throughout the country in October.
He was on hand in Santa Clarita a few years back to perform at Molar Manor, a charitable haunted house put on by Dr. Ron Singer.
The event proved to be such a success that Picket made his way back to Santa Clarita the next year, to perform for over 4,000 people.
"The haunted industry will never forget Bobby Boris for all that he's done," said Dr. Ron Singer.
He received the first "stake" of the City by then Mayor Bob Kellar. (A Halloween twist on the "key" to the City)
Bobby Boris was a friend to Molar Manor and KHTS AM-1220.
