    McKeon, R-Santa Clarita, “is currently leading a six-member, bipartisan congressional delegation in Iraq,” his office announced in a brief written statement Friday after refusing to corroborate rumors of the trip the day before.
    “During his time there, McKeon will have an opportunity to assess the ongoing reconstruction efforts of the newly liberated country, and will meet with the brave men and women of the United States armed services,” the statement said.
