Mayor Visits Future Business Leaders
Today, the City of Santa Clarita and Mayor Marsha McLean issued a proclamation to Hart High School students declaring February 11-17, 2007, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) week. In honor of the organization’s National Career and Technical Education month, Mayor McLean visited students of the Newhall chapter at Hart High School .
“The City is honored to recognize the students in our community who are the future of our business leaders, commented Mayor Marsha McLean. These students have shown a proactive interest in their occupational future and I am proud to be apart of it,” she stated.
Activities for the week include daily business-trivia posts in the school bulletin and a community service project with the Food Pantry. Members also participated in "Dress for Success Day" by wearing their professional business attire to school on Thursday, February 15th.
“We are very excited to welcome Mayor McLean to share in the festivities surrounding the premiere organization for students interested in business leadership,” commented senior Hart High School student Elizabeth Tang, State President of California FBLA.
