Congratulations Michael Herrick of Valencia High School for being a “Player of the Week”.

Michael Herrick added to his California passing yardage record with a personal-best 441 yards in Valencia High’s 51-34 victory against Chino Hills in the quarterfinals of the Southern Section Division II football playoffs.  Herrick, the only player in state history to pass for more than 10,000 yards, threw for five touchdowns against Chino Hills (11-1) and rushed for another.  It was Herrick's second career 400-yard performance.  To round out his performance, Herrick called an audible and scored on a 14-yard run just 2:26 into the game.
