LANE CLOSURES FOR I-5 CARPOOL LANE CONSTRUCTION NEAR SYLMAR JUNE 27-30

      Sylmar/North San Fernando Valley - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes, ramps and connectors of the Golden State Freeway
(I-5) as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14: NIGHTLY MONDAY, JUNE 27, THROUGH THURSDAY, JUNE 30  -
(NOTE: EXCEPTION: CLOSURES FRIDAY MORNING, JULY 1 WILL BE PICKED UP BY 5
A.M.)
·     8 p.m. until 8 a.m. - up to two lanes of northbound I-5 from SR-118
to I-210
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - northbound I-5 on-ramp at Paxton Street
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - northbound I-5 off-ramp at Brand Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - northbound I-5 off-ramp at San Fernando Mission
Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - northbound I-5 on-ramp at Laurel Canyon
Boulevard
·     6 p.m. until 5 a.m. - northbound I-5 truck bypass lane
·     7 p.m. until 5 a.m. - up to two lanes of southbound I-5 from Roxford
Street to
      SR-118 junction
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - southbound I-5 connector to I-405 truck bypass
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - southbound I-5 off-ramp at San Fernando Mission
Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - southbound I-5 on-ramps at east- and westbound
San Fernando
Mission Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - southbound I-5 on-ramp at Brand Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - southbound I-5 on-ramp at Brand Boulevard
·     6 p.m. until 7 a.m. - southbound I-5 off-ramp at Paxton Street
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. - southbound I-5 connector to eastbound State
Route 118
      Closures are weather permitting and subject to change.  Signs and
detours will be posted to assist motorists.  Caltrans reminds motorists
that traffic fines are doubled in freeway work zones, and to please SLOW
FOR THE CONE ZONE.
