L.A. COUNTY ANIMAL CARE & CONTROL PRESENTS ANNUAL LOW-COST VACCINATION CLINIC

In an effort to keep local area pets healthy, the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control is offering low-cost vaccinations at its annual Vaccination Clinic.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at the Santa Clarita Park located at 27265 Seco Canyon Rd. The clinic will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Residents of Santa Clarita are encouraged to bring their dogs down to the park Three separate vaccines are available for dogs: rabies ($6.00), DHLPP ($14.00), and Bordetella ($11.00).

“We are looking forward to providing local dogs with the low-cost vaccinations that they need to stay healthy,” said City employee and clinic volunteer coordinator, Jennifer Killian.

For the safety of everyone at the clinic, Animal Care and Control requests that all dogs be on leashes and that adults hold their animals at all times. Pet owners must bring their pet license renewal form with them and all owners are reminded to bring two separate checks if paying for both vaccinations and licenses.

For more information about the vaccination program, please contact the Castaic Animal Shelter at (661) 257-3191 or call (562) 948-2211 for recorded clinic information.
