The Knights fall to the Apaches 36-0.
Entering the third straight week with a makeshift referee crew, the Knights hosted the Southern California Apaches.
The Apaches first drive saw them split up a 14 play drive with 6 passes and 8 runs to take an early lead.
The Knights took over, down 6-0 after a failed 2pt conversion. A sack for 15 yards followed two runs both for a loss of one yard. The Knights punted.
The Apaches made the score 8-0 after blocking the punt, in which the Knights recovered in the endzone for a safety.
After the free punt, the Apaches took 4 plays to get on the board again, failing the XP, it was now 14-0.
The Knights next drive ended on the second play when a pass from QB Tim Brandon was picked off.
The Apaches took over in great field position, using a great mix of run and pass plays, made the score 22-0 after converting the 2pt attempt.
The Knights, still trying to figure out their offensive woes, went three and out.
The Apaches, took advantage of this next drive, and made the score 29-0 going into the 2nd half.
The Knights opened the 2nd half with an impressive drive but failed a 4th down conversion.
The Apaches scored after a 10 play drive, making the score 36-0.
The Knights next drive looked promising, but ended with an interception.
The Knights defense came onto the field, and took things into their own hands when MLB Matt Miller intercepted a pass and took it 56 yards back for the Knights first score of the game.
The Apaches took over, with the score 36-6. But the drive ended on the second play when OLB John-Michael Angel returned and interception 31 yards.
The Knights offense took the field, but couldn''''t do anything with the opportunity, throwing an INT themselves.
The Knights Defense, doing what they have done every game, came alive in the 2nd half, causing a fumble.
This time, the Knights took advantage, with an 85-yard TD pass to WR Brian Bauer.
The Apaches scored one more time to make the score 43-14. The Knights, although disappointed with the loss, can be proud that their defense is playing so strong.
