Island Trilogy by Navy Borrowman
Good Morning KHTS listeners.
Hi, my name is Navy Borrowman and I am a fourth grader at Pico Canyon Elementary School in the Newhall School District.
I'll be reviewing Island Trilogy written by Gorman Korman and was written in 2001 and is 403 pages long.
In this book a movie stars child, a brother and a sister, a poor girl, a t.v. addict, and a boy get caught doing diffierent crimes and were sent to go on a boat trip to learn cooperation. But they were betrayed and were stranded on a deserted island. After almost dieing of starvation, the group of strangers learn teamwork to survive. On top of this they have problems with some smugglers and an atomic bomb which miraculously lead their way to rescue before making a terrifiying decision.
I like this book because it is descriptive, creative and enjoyable way to learn about teamwork and cooperation.
I think young readers will enjoy the book because it is suspenseful, eventful, exciting and a great experience to connect with the characters.
