I-5 Repairs Involve Long Term Lane Closures
NORTH LOS ANGELES COUNTY – Caltrans continues the closure of one northbound lane of the Golden State Freeway (I-5) at Templin Highway on the “Grapevine,” 12 miles north of Highway 126 near Santa Clarita. The lane will be closed for approximately six months to complete storm-related repairs. Four southbound lanes and three northbound lanes will be open to motorists. During the Memorial Day holiday weekend, motorists are reminded to plan ahead, leave early and be aware of alternate routes to their destination as highways will be heavily used and delays should be expected. In consideration of the holiday, all planned roadwork that could create delays for motorists is suspended, beginning today at 6 a.m., through Saturday,
May 28, at Midnight and Sunday May 29, at Midnight through Tuesday, May 31, at 6 a.m.
