High School Football Playoff Games Announced

Hart number two seed, Saugus also gets a home game.

 

The Hart Indians are the number two seed in the CIF-SS Northern Division Playoff bracket.  The Indians will take on the 15 seed, Thousand Oaks, on Friday.  The Saugus Centurions received the fifth seed, and will take on Pacifica of Oxnard, also on Friday.  Saugus will play at Valencia High School, and KHTS will bring you all of the action, Live, at 6:30 on Friday night.

 

The Valencia Vikings will travel to Oxnard to take on the sixth seed, Pacific View League champions Oxnard Yellow Jackets.  Game time is 7:30.  Oxnard lost their first two games, but have since gone on a run of eight straight wins to capture league.  Last week, Oxnard pounded Saugus' first round opponent, Pacifica, 63-10.   Pacifica was 5-5 during the regular season, finishing third in the Pacific View League.  Hart's opponent, Thousand Oaks, was the final team to capture a playoff birth, finishing fourth in the Marmonte League.  Thousand Oaks was 5-5 during the season.

 

St. Bonaventure was awarded the number one seed in the Northern Division, following a 9-1 season.  Last year's Northern Division runner-up, Moorpark, is the 13th seed, and will play Atascadero on Friday.  Westlake, a semifinalist last season, is the eight seed, and will take on Adolfo Camarillo on Friday.  Westlake was defeated by both Hart and Saugus during the regular season.
