Governor Will Not Meet With Cemex Directly
Governor Schwarzenegger arrived in Mexico Wednesday night for a trade mission where he will attempt to promote California produce and tourism as well as build ties with Mexico’s incoming president, according to the Los Angeles Times.
It had been previously planned for the Governor to visit Cemex headquarters while on his two day trip, however, aides are now saying that he will not meet with Cemex alone. The LA Times says that the Governor will attend a round table meeting with businesses in Monterrey, and Cemex will take part in that as well, but no meetings between the two are scheduled.
This comes as good news for Santa Clarita, as they further revise their efforts to get the Governor on board with this issue.
