Freeway Closures Continue

Sylmar/North San Fernando Valley – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes, ramps and connectors of the Golden State Freeway
(I-5) as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:

NIGHTLY MONDAY, JULY 11 THROUGH FRIDAY, JULY 15:

·     8 p.m. until 8 a.m. – up to two lanes of northbound I-5 from SR-118 to I-210
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – northbound I-5 on-ramp at Paxton Street
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – northbound I-5 off-ramp at Brand Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – northbound I-5 off-ramp at San Fernando Mission Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – northbound I-5 on-ramp at Laurel Canyon Boulevard
·     6 p.m. until 5 a.m. – northbound I-5 truck bypass lane
·     7 p.m. until 5 a.m. – up to two lanes of southbound I-5 from Roxford Street to
      SR-118 junction
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – southbound I-5 connector to I-405 truck bypass
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – southbound I-5 off-ramp at San Fernando Mission Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – southbound I-5 on-ramps at east- and westbound San Fernando
Mission Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – southbound I-5 on-ramp at Brand Boulevard
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – southbound I-5 on-ramp at Brand Boulevard
·     6 p.m. until 7 a.m. – southbound I-5 off-ramp at Paxton Street
·     7 p.m. until 6 a.m. – southbound I-5 connector to eastbound State Route 118
                             
      Closures are weather permitting and subject to change.  Signs and detours will be posted to assist motorists.  Caltrans reminds motorists that traffic fines are doubled in freeway work zones, and to please SLOW FOR THE CONE ZONE.

Pearblossom --  As part of the Highway 138 widening project, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes of Highway 138 as follows from
July 11–15:

·     Monday July 11 through Friday, July 15 from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:

-     One lane of westbound Highway 138 and one lane of eastbound Highway 138 will be closed – intermittently (not simultaneously), from 130th Street East to 165th Street East.  Note: Flaggers will be on site to assist motorists and provide traffic control.

      Closures are weather permitting and subject to change.  Signs will be posted to assist motorists.  Caltrans reminds motorists that traffic fines are doubled in freeway and highway work zones, and to please SLOW FOR THE CONE ZONE.
