Flood of Books Reach Louisiana

During the first week of May, KHTS participated in a citywide effort called the "Flood of Books", encouraging local Santa Clarita residents to donate books to several elementary schools. The books were used to aid libraries at schools that had been devastated by Hurricanes in the Louisiana area. Nearly 100,000 books were collected, and local resident Frank Ball- who grew up in Louisiana spearheaded the cross-country effort to get the books where they were needed the most.
