Emergency Expo As Fun As It Is Informative
Expo to focus on every type of emergency.
Are you prepared for the big one; the long over due earthquake on the San Andreas Fault, the one that seismologists always seem to remind us about? Can your family or business sustain an extended power outage?
Do you have a family emergency plan for a fire, or a flood? Whether you think you are prepared, or want to improve your level of preparedness the City of Santa Clarita encourages residents to attend the Emergency Expo on Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the College of the Canyons.
This annual free event is the perfect opportunity for families to enhance emergency plans and disaster supplies while having some fun. Passport to Preparedness is Expo's theme this year, and attendees can voyage around and view demonstrations and displays on how to prepare for emergencies.
Throughout the Expo a gallery of photos on disasters from around the world will be on display. Included with the photos are questions to help improve best practices for preparing, responding and recovering from emergencies. This event has something for all ages.
