DUI Suspect Hits Car, Drives Away
Off-duty LAPD officer nabs suspect
Deputies arrested Roberto Polanco, MH/26, on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Hit and Run Sunday.
An off-duty LAPD officer reportedly witnessed a traffic collision near Valencia Boulevard and Magic Mountain Parkway, where the vehicle the suspect was driving struck another car. The officer reports that the suspected drunk driver then drove away, leaving the scene of the accident.

The officer followed him and detained him after he abandoned his vehicle and attempted to run. The suspect was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on misdemeanor charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Hit and Run.
The suspect was later released on a citation pending future court proceedings. No injuries were reported.
