Drugs Worth $8K Taken in Saugus Bust
Two men were arrested and booked for possession of narcotics Thursday at a home directly across the street from Saugus High School. . .
Kevin Flinn, 40, was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale near a school and possession of a dangerous weapon. Flinn is being held in lieu of $45,000 bail, said Lt. Larry Gump.
James Watters, 42, was booked on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. He was being held on $16,000 bail.
Members of the Santa Clarita Narcotics Crew served search warrants on the home in the 27500 block of Caraway Lane about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, taking Flinn and Watters into custody and confiscating drugs with a street value of about $8,000, investigators said. About $1,000 in cash also was recovered.
The arrest followed a two-month narcotics investigation.
The narcotics crew recovered several plastic bags of methamphetamine and one bag of marijuana.
Both suspects were being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
