Deputy Remains in Serious Condition

Deputy Hamson was walking across Sierra Highway when he was struck by a vehicle that was being driven by Marc Hess. Deputy Hamson was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he is being treated for injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the vehicle was subsequently released from the scene.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy Tony Arnold, traffic investigator, at the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station at (661) 799-5112.
