Crime Prevention

Crime can't be beat by the Sheriff's Deputies alone. The community can prevent crime before it even happens. This not only keeps us all safe and aware, but it frees up Deputies to do the things we can't. So what can we do?

  1. Report Graffiti. The city has a graffiti hotline at 25 (clean).
  2. Form a Neighborhood Watch.

"We have alot of crimes here that are crimes of opportunity. Simple things like locking your car doors and having your keys ready before you walk to your car can go a long way in protecting yourself." -Sheriff's Captain Anthony LaBerge

"Having served for 25 years in the Los Angeles Police Department I know how much individuals and communities benefit from preventing crime. We've worked very hard at the City to give every citizen the tools to safely report and prevent crime" - Mayor Pro Tem Bob Kellar
