Congratulations to the High School Player of the Week, Justin Williams, from
Justin Williams didn’t have to carry the ball much on Friday night to make a statement. In fact, the Canyon running back only carried the ball 13 times. But on a night in which so much uncertainty surrounded the Cowboys, Williams gave the team a feeling of hope. Williams gave the Cowboys certainty.
That’s why in week one of the high school football season, Justin Williams has been named the Lockheed Federal Credit Union High School Football Player of the Week.
Sharing the ball in a balanced offensive attack, Williams made the most of his opportunities. His 193 yards, an average of 14.8 yards-per-carry, and four touchdown runs led the Cowboys back from a one-point halftime deficit in their 55-38 win over the Leuzinger Olympians.
Said Williams after the contest: “When it was my time, I produced for the team.”
For his production, Lockheed Federal Credit Union will donate $250.00 to the Canyon Football Booster Club.
