Civil War On Sunday By Cheyenne Adams
Hi, my name is Cheyenne Adams and I am a 4th grader in Mrs. Delgado’s class at Valley View Community Elementary School in the Sulphur Springs School District.
I’ll be reviewing Civil War on Sunday by Mary Pope Osborne. It was written in 2000 and is 96 pages long.
This book is about two children, Jack and Annie, who spend time in a tree house. One day, they made a wish and wished that they could go back in history. They opened a book about the Civil War and pointed to a battlefield. They wished to be there.
Their wish came true and they traveled back to the time of the Civil War! When they were there, they met Clara Barton, a famous nurse.
My favorite part is when Jack and Annie aid the men who were hurt and give them food and medicine. I enjoyed this book and rate it 10 out of 5 stars because you can learn history from it!
