City Wins Battle In The War Against Cemex
On Friday, the Santa Clarita City Council came one step closer to driving out Mexican cement giant Cemex by voting unanimously to buy nearly 500 acres of land on the proposed site.
Earlier this week, as reported on KHTS, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors settled with Cemex, paving a possible road for the company to move into the area. Now the city purchased $1 million in land, and the council hopes this puts the city in a better position to win the fight. The City has now invested a total of $3.5 million to drive out Cemex.
