City to Recognize Community Center Volunteers

The City of Santa Clarita will be recognizing outstanding Community Center volunteers at a special Volunteer Recognition Dinner on Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. The dinner will be held at the City’s new Community Center, located at 22421 Market Street in Downtown Newhall. City officials and Center staff will be in attendance as Center volunteers are recognized for their contributions. Volunteers will be recognized for such activities as helping with homework, teaching classes, assisting with reading, coaching boxing and other sports. Honorees will enjoy dinner catered by RSVP catering and will be presented with plaques from the Center. Volunteers being honored include: Manny Jimenez, Rosa Hernandez, Raoul Hurd, Judy McClure, Wendy Collins, Bob White, Royal Montross, Terry Montross, Dave Moreno, Art Dolder, Heather Greenspan, Lovie Hernandez, Carmel DeAmicis, Narayan Propato, and LaVern Antoine.
