City Puts Spotlight On Volunteers
It was cheers all around last night, as members of the City Council including the Mayor, and City Manager Ken Pulskamp got together at Margarita’s Grill to honor the people that have made the Newhall Community Center highly successful in its first year of operation.
The Newhall Community Center is barely a year old, and serves a community that is mostly underserved in the area of parks and activities.
Twenty five people were given awards for their work in programs like Homework Help, Boxing, Ballet Folklorico, Violin and more.
Stacey Chavez & Javier Rodriguez got the title of “Members of the Year.”
