City Concert Series Ends Summer Run

The City of Santa Clarita’s 16th Annual Concerts in the Park series comes to a conclusion Saturday August 27, with a performance by The Spazmatics. This hilarious “science-nerd” group will play the best of the 80s pop and new-wave music.

The final concert in this year’s series of tribute bands, The Spazmatics concert will begin at at Central Park. As always, hundred of families are expected to come out early to enjoy a picnic dinner on a warm summer night. Concessions are also available at the park.

Everyone is invited to attend this free, family-friendly concert, which will feature hits by Oingo Boingo, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, and many more 80s favorites!

“We are so excited to be bringing this year’s concert series to a close with such an energetic band,” says Phil Lantis, Arts and Events Administrator for the City. “This year we have featured all cover-bands and thousands of people have come out to hear the familiar tunes. The Spazmatics will cap off a successful summer of family entertainment”

Central Park is located at

27150 Bouquet Canyon Road
. Parking spaces at the park are limited and the concert series is a popular event, so residents are encouraged to arrive early. A reminder, videotaping is not permitted at the concerts.
