City’s Human Relations Forum Screens Award Winning Film
As part of their month-long “Celebrating Diversity” program, the City of Santa Clarita’s Human Relations Forum will be holding a screening of the award-winning film “Paper Clips” about a school of young students in rural Tennessee as they respond to lessons learned about the Holocaust. Following “Paper Clips” will be a brief presentation by Operation US, a high school student-based group that addresses race relations issues and prejudice. Admission to the event is free and families are welcome.
WHEN: Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: The movie will be shown at the Santa Clarita Activities Center, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.
WHY: “Celebrating Diversity” was created this year to promote cultural proficiency in Santa Clarita, in concert with the mission of the Human Relations Forum. Their mission is to encourage, assist, and empower the community to eliminate all forms of discrimination and to promote understanding and appreciation of human differences.
