Charlotte Kleeman

Charlotte Kleeman was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in North Hollywood California. She graduated from Occidental College and she has two Teaching Credentials from Calif. Lutheran College. She was a Social Worker for 8 years with Los Angeles. County. She moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1965 with her husband Frank and their son Jeff - followed shortly thereafter by the birth of their daughter Shari.
Charlotte has been very involved with Santa Clarita non-profits since 1971. She is currently President of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, and is Secretary of the Child and Family Center Foundation. She is, or has in the past been an active member of a number of other committees including several committees at College of the Canyons; AAUW; Santa Clarita Repertory Theatre Board, SCV Boys & Girls Club (where she and her husband were instrumental in the early growth of the club's famous annual Auction); Board member Foundation for Children’s Dental Health and she is an elected member of the Occidental College Alumni Board of Governors.
She was awarded Santa Clarita Valley Woman of the Year for 1996, Zonta 2001 Woman of the Community, and Santa Clarita Elks Lodge Citizen of the Year. The Network of California Community Colleges named her and husband Frank Philanthropists of the Year 2002.
She is married to Frank and they have two children, Jeff and Shari, and two grandsons.
