Catcher With A Glass Arm by Griffin Scott
Hi, my name is Griffin Scott and I am a fourth grader at Meadows Elementary School in the Newhall District.
I will be reviewing Catcher With A Glass Arm, written by Matt Christopher. It was written in 1992 and is 115 pages long.
This book is about a boy named Jody and his baseball team, The Dolphins. Jody was the catcher for his team. Have you ever played a sport when you did not do as well as you wanted to? Well, that’s what happened to Jody in this book.
The teams in the league called him ‘catcher with a glass arm’ which means that he did not throw very well. Jody started practicing more with his coach. His coach taught him how to throw with the unknown power in his arm. After that, Jody turned into one of the best catcher’s in the league, and his team won the championship.
My favorite part in the book was when Jody threw two kids out at second base in the championship game. They won the game 7-6, and they were very happy.
I liked this book because I play baseball, and I am a catcher, too. I would recommend this book to people who like to play baseball. Thank you!
