Canyon Country Gets Its Lights Knocked Out
At 8:25 last night, East Canyon Country had its power go out, leaving about 3,500 residents in the dark.
KHTS received reports that the outage was caused by a car that crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Sand Canyon.

In fact, that exact section of Soledad was shut down, as police directed eastbound drivers through the Vons parking lot, and a Southern California Edison truck was parked in the closed section of road.
As of 9:00, Edison representatives could not confirm that a car damaged a utility pole, but they did say that they were investigating.
The power was off for roughly two hours for most customers.
