What does bowling have to do with successful student transition from high school to career? In the case of the Valley Industrial Association’s Bowl-A-Thon Night Fever this Saturday (July 22), it could have a marked effect on more than 2,000 local teens.
The Bowl-A-Thon starts at 6 p.m. at Valencia Lanes in Newhall and will including bowling, games, prize drawings, a silent auction and music. During the day, local business owners and executives present workshops and breakout groups with such topics as business ethics, building a resume, preparing for a job interview, and focusing on the education and skills required for various jobs.
