Beijing Technology Official to Speak at Local Conference
SANTA CLARITA--The section chief and vice-researcher of the China Technology Market Management and Promotion Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology in Bejing has accepted an invitation to speak at the 2005 Expanding Business with China Conference to be held at the Valencia Hyatt, May 3. Lei Qingxi will speak on "Technology: A Bridge to Cooperation," during one of the morning plenary sessions.
Dena Maloney, Dean of Economic Development at College of the Canyons, one of the organizers of the conference, traveled to China in October 2004 to make contact with experts such as officials from the Science and Technology Ministry.
Speaking of the science and technology chief, she said, "Mr. Qingxi has participated in formulation of policy for the center. His expertise will be invaluable to conference attendees interested in technology market management and promotion in China."
Qingxi, who always presides over and participates in the activities of the technical market, is the author of "Chinese Technical Market." Maloney says he has accumulated a wealth of experience in the domain of service for technology transfer. He is also considered an expert on conferences and exhibitions in China.
