During the week of March 6 through 12, Santa Clarita hosted the PGA Champions Tour's AT&T Classic at Valencia Country Club. The weeklong event consisted of pro-am tournaments, fundraisers, and professional tournament play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The winner- Tom Kite, who took a comfortable lead into the final day and continued his great play to seal the victory.

Tom Kite holds his trophy. The top prize? $240,000!
