Aquatics Student Dies At College
Canyon Country resident found unconscious in locker room
A 61-year old aquatics student died Monday after losing consciousness in the men’s locker room at College of the Canyons.
Canyon Country resident Robert Morgan was enrolled in a water aerobics class that met Monday mornings on the Valencia campus. A student entering the locker room to change for class found him on the floor and summoned a trainer to administer CPR.
“He was completely unresponsive and had a very thready pulse when paramedics arrived,” COC spokeswoman Sue Bozman told KHTS. “They took him to the hospital, where he was declared dead.”
Bozman said that Morgan had worked at the college part-time in the audio-visual department .
