A crowd of about 100 braved the summer heat Thursday and Friday to become the first Santa Clarita residents to own the coveted Apple iphone.
The $600 price tag did not deter folks from gathering in front of the AT&T store on Valencia Blvd as early as 6 PM Thursday.
The highly anticipated iphone, which went on sale across the country Friday, is the latest product by Apple. It is a cell phone, ipod, camera and Wi-Fi capable web browser all in one.
Valencia resident Heather Mendola was the first in line for chance to grab her iphone.
Others arrived soon after with tents sleeping bags and provisions to see them through until the 6 PM store opening.
