A Dog’s Life
Hi, my name is Jenna. I am going to tell you about a book called “A Dog’s Life” by Diana G. Gallagher.
This book is about two sisters named Michelle and Stephanie. Stephanie is the older sister. They have a dog named Comet. He is a Golden Retriever. Michelle wants to enter Comet in a dog show.
Michelle starts training Comet and Stephanie wants to help her. She helps Michelle train Comet by taking him to the park. While she is at the park, she meets a boy named C.J. C.J. offers to help train Comet. C.J. also asks Stephanie on a date.
Meanwhile, Stephanie discovers that C.J. is really her friend Allie’s boyfriend! He is two-timing Allie. Later in the book, C.J. also two-times Stephanie with another girl.
The day before the dog show Comet runs away and the whole family starts searching for him everywhere. Will Michelle find Comet? Will Stephanie and Allie find out that C.J. is two-timing them both? Will Comet still enter the dog show and will he win? You will need to read the book to find the answers to these questions. I enjoyed this book and recommend it for any 9 year old girl.
