18th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair at COC
College of the Canyons Classified Coordinating Council’s 18th annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair will showcase handcrafted items throughout California on the weekend of Nov. 19 and 20. The wide variety of items will include: cell phone charms, children’s books, clothes, quilts, handmade soy candles, decorated tabletop holiday trees, hand-cut steel silhouette wall hangings, prepared fossils and minerals; tie-dyed clothing for babies, children, adults and dogs. Returning local artists such as Doreen Adams, Cathy Kissack, Joy Bowman and Adam Probert will also be on hand to showcase hand-painted china, jewelry, Victorian themed décor and Celtic-inspired museum replicas. The Vital Express Center for the Performing Arts staff will have a booth promoting coming attractions. The fair’s program will include demonstrations of tai chi and belly dancing from the local Goddess Fitness Studio. There will be funnel cakes and a bake sale by the college’s Associated Student Government during the event.
The fair will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19 and 20 in the college parking lot # 8 at the corner of Valencia Boulevard and Rockwell Canyon Road. Hours for the fair are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission and parking are free.
