All applicants fulfilling the requirements of the application and signatures will be interviewed on Friday by a Community Panel, to be determined by the City Council. The Community Panelists will be divided into three groups with each Panel in a separate room to interview the applicants.
The City Council applicants in alphabetical order are: Bill Bolde, Timothy Ben Boydston, Carl Boyer 3rd, Michael Cruz, Nancy Delange, Gene Dorio, M.D., Laurie Ender, Allan Favish, Maria Gutzeit, Wendy Hahn, Mark Hershey, Bill Kennedy, Michael Lyons, Bob Spierer, Paul Strickland and Diane Trautman.
“We are very pleased to have many candidates apply for this position. Santa Clarita is a wonderful community with a terrific spirit of involvement,” commented Ken Pulskamp, City Manager.
At the November 28 City Council meeting, the City Council will decide on the panelists as well as the schedule for interviewing the top candidates recommended by the Community Panel. The newly appointed City Councilmember may be installed on December 19, 2006.
