‘Footsteps 5K Run/Walk & 1K Kids Fun Run’ – April 30th

The Footsteps 5K is a family style event starting in

Newhall Park and winding its way down the South Fork trail and back. All proceeds from this race go to benefit the Operations School Bell Program which provides clothing, shoes, backpacks and health kits to over 700 children a year in the Santa Clarita Valley. The 5K races starts at 8:15 AM and will be run on the South Fork Trail. The Kids 1K Fun Run begins at 8 AM and will be held at Newhall Park . This event will take place rain or shine. 

 

Since 1991, participants in Assistance League's Footsteps Run/Walk have let their running feet help put new shoes on school children. Close to 500 runners and walkers participate in this event, which benefits Operation School Bell. This family-styled event is a wonderful opportunity to be of service to the community. For a small registration fee, you receive a long-sleeved "race-day" T-shirt as well as the enjoyment of knowing you've brightened the lives of children in need living in the Santa Clarita Valley. Sponsorship of this race is always encouraged.
