The Homeless Are Homeless Once Again
The Santa Clarita Valley Emergency Winter Shelter is winding down its operations for this "season," but as the doors close, those who have nowhere to go are left stranded.
For a number of the shelter's residents their new homes will be cars, tents, or if they're lucky a friendly couch.

Election day is Tuesday, April 13th for our City Council elections. If our past is any indicator, less than 20% of the eligible Santa Clarita Valley registered voters will actually vote. It's an embarrassment. Our City Council, more than any other elected officials, directly impact our quality of life here in our Valley. It is our responsibility to become informed and vote.
Students Invited To Create Congressional Art
Congressman Buck McKeon is on an artistic quest, looking for student artists to submit their entries for the annual Congressional Art Competition to represent the 25th District. High school students who live in the district are encouraged to create a two-dimensional work in the theme "An Artistic Discovery." The 25th District winner's work will be on display along with student artwork from across the country in the U.S. Capitol Building.
