CHP Has Watchful Eye On Streets During Halloween
Patrols will be looking for drunk drivers.
This Halloween, Santa Clarita will be under the watchful eye of deputies and California Highway Patrol officers, who have been charged to keep the roads safe.
The CHP has made a concentrated effort on spreading the word about safety during the Halloween weekend.
“When partying takes to the roadways, too often the result is tragic,” said CHP Captain Mark Odle of the Newhall office. “If you are driving on Halloween, make sure you and all of your passengers are buckled up and that only non-drinking drivers get behind the wheel.”
Odle also says that even sober driving may not be enough during trick or treat hours, as costumed kids will be on the streets and sidewalks. He recommends all drivers take extra precautions, and slow down.
