Castaic Lake Fit-For-Fun Preview Walk
Date: Saturday, January 19, 2013 - 9:00am to 11:00am This leisurely-paced walk will give you a hint at the variety of areas and trails we have here at Castaic Lake, a preview of some of the hiking and walking paths we’ll be visiting in the coming weeks. This one is suitable for all ages and ability levels. We'll be taking our time and enjoying the scenery!
Our Castaic Lake Fit-For-Fun program is an ongoing series of guided events, self-guided activities and/or independent workouts designed to help you stay fit and enjoy our recreation area while you work out! Membership is free. Become a member and start tracking!
Program Hikes/Walks are FREE with park entry ($11/car). Meet at Main Office at 9:00am sharp, weather permitting (rain cancels)

Off-The-Wall Street Art
Date: Saturday, January 19, 2013 - 10:00am to 1:00pm Please join the City of Santa Clarita's City Council, Arts Commission, and Arts and Events Office at Westfield Valencia Town Center for a reception celebrating the newest art exhibits: The Left Brain: Art from Bowman High and Art Making for Change: NOMAD LAB. Founded in 2010, NOMAD LAB is a laboratory of creativity, collaboration and community for youth and their families, located in the heart of the Valle del Oro neighborhood in Newhall, Santa Clarita. NOMAD LAB designs and implements free inclusive arts, capacity building and leadership programs to address the rise in criminal activity in the neighborhood, and to offer a safe forum for dialogue, learning and community engagement. These two exhibitions are now on display at Westfield Valencia Town Center. Come meet the artists, engage with others who appreciate art, and enjoy light appetizers. The reception will take place on the 2nd floor, just off the Patios on the Sears side of the mall.

Fast Frame Valencia Artist Reception & Demonstration
