Come help prepare care packages for the military. Santa Clarita UMC collects goodies from mid-Oct. through Nov. 11 and packs those goodies to be shipped out to military personnel in time to be received between Christmas and New years.Free lunch is included. Come for a fun time and send some love overseas! Donations of items are accepted but you need not bring anything to participate in this event.

Details:  Come to the Heads Up Therapy On Horseback First Annual “Hero Tea & Silent Auction”.  Heads Up Therapy is starting a new program dedicated to improving the quality of life for returning veterans who are physically, mentally or emotionally challenged.  This event is to raise the start up budget to launch this program which will provide horse therapy free to our Veterans.  Our troops have taken care of us, now it is time for us to take care of them.  Purchase a ticket by calling Beverley at 818-253-5948.

Humor Helps Comedy Show and Silent Auction

Sunday, November 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Location:  Blessed Kateri Catholic Church, 22508 Copper Hill Drive, Saugus, CA

Details: Come laugh the night away with nationally known comedian Alonzo Bodden, while helping people right here in the Santa Clarita Valley.  All proceeds benefit Bridge to Home, homeless services.  Tickets are $20 and include 2 drink tickets and admission to the show.
