Bobbi Jean Bell, Co-Host, is passionate about the American West. The truth and the myth, the fiction and the facts, the people and the art they create. With her husband and business partner, Jim Bell, she is a Purveyor of Fine Western Goods. Together they scout for unique and distinctive apparel, accessories, home décor, and general merchandise that are a reflection of Western lifestyle. They hunt for artisans and craftsmen who are inspired to create “decorative art you can wear” based on their own love for the story of the West. OutWest rounds it up and brings it to you. Offering over 6,000 unique Western items on their website www.scvoutwest.com, they serve the world delivering the West door-to-door and coast-to-coast.
As husband and wife, they have more than 50 years of retail experience in apparel, accessories, home décor, and jewelry. For several years Bobbi Jean was on staff at the Autry National Center of the American West working directly with visitors and curatorial staff. During her years there she was involved in the operation of Visitor Services and the Museum Store. She never stopped learning and appreciating the history and culture of the American West. The Autry National Center's collections are world class and the exhibits spellbinding.
The years at the Autry Museum exposed her to the complicated, compelling, and engaging history of the West and her life's calling. Hence, OutWest was born! Launched in late 2007 as an on-line Western boutique, then with a "by appointment only" charming location in Pasadena, and finally on the National Day of the Cowboy 2009, OutWest opened a "brick and mortar" store in Old Town Newhall.
Located on the Walk of Western Stars and just up the street from Santa Clarita's two major historical landmarks, The William S. Hart Park and Museum and the Santa Clarita Historical Society, OutWest is right at home!
