Society's annual fundraising walks held nationwide in the fall to raise funds.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society named Kerry Carmody, Administrator for Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, Chair of its annual Light The Night(r) Walk, the Society's annual fundraising walks held nationwide in the fall to raise funds for cancer research and patient services. Last year the walk at Bridgeport Park raised over $50,000 for patient services and cancer research.

Lane Closures for I-5 Carpool Lane Construction 8/7 – 8/10

Caltrans will close the following lanes of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
 
DAILY – MONDAY, AUGUST 7 THROUGH THURSDAY, AUGUST 10:
 
·     5 a.m. to 2 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5from State Route 210 to State Route 14
·     7 a.m. to 4 p.m. – The southbound I-5 connector to eastbound State Route 118
