Milan USA Academy Comes To Santa Clarita

AC Milan sponsors two local soccer teams.

 

AC Milan, one of the most famous and successful soccer clubs in the world, is coming to the City of Santa Clarita’ s Community Center on Saturday, July 14, 2007 to sponsor two local soccer teams.

 

To kickoff the Milan USA Academy Santa Clarita edition, AC Milan will bring the Champions Cup from Italy to be on display for all residents on July 14th, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Santa Clarita hits the deadline to return their votes on an open space initiative that would allow the City to levy a $25 yearly property tax assessment in order to purchase undeveloped land around Santa Clarita and preserve it as parkland and open space.

Fire In Agua Dulce Is Out

UPDATE: Agua Dulce Fire gobbles up 815 acres before getting extinguished

 

At around 6:00pm Sunday evening, firefighters finally called knockdown on a massive blaze that tortured Agua Dulce residents over the course of the weekend.

 

Nearly 40 homes were evacuated along Agua Dulce Canyon Road, as well as Vasquez Rocks Park.  The evacuations lasted only a few hours, and no structures were lost to this fire.

 

400 firefighters fought the blaze, which was first reported at 2:30pm Saturday afternoon.
