Michelle Krantz Named New Rancho Pico Principal

Michele Krantz, who has served as junior and senior high school teacher and assistant principal in the Wm. S.Hart Union High School District for the last nine years, has been named principal at Rancho Pico Junior High School.  Krantz replaces principal Dave LeBarron who was recently promoted to the position of Director of Curriculum with the Hart District.

Halloween Fiesta At Community Center

Activities planned for kids

The City of Santa Clarita in partnership with the Sunrise Rotary Club will host the 8th Annual Halloween Fiesta on Friday, October 26, 2007, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Newhall Community Center, located at 22421 Market Street.


Children from all over Santa Clarita will enjoy costume contests, haunted house, pumpkin decorating, food and drinks, and a magic show. The event is free and open to the public.


COC Strength And Conditioning Coach To Give Free Seminar

College of the Canyons strength and conditioning coach Robert dos Remedios has planned to conduct a one-hour “Real World Fitness” seminar, sponsored by the COC Student Health and Wellness Center and Student Nutrition and Wellness Advocates from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24 on the campus of COC.

Saugus tops Valencia


On Friday night, the Saugus Centurions continued their excellent play, defeating the Valencia Vikings 34-19, in a game heard on KHTS.  In other Foothill league action, Hart defeated West Ranch 36-15 and Canyon beat Golden Valley 59-13.

Next Friday, you can hear the Hart Indians take on the Valencia Vikings, all starting with Chalk Talk at 7:00pm, only on KHTS.
