America Takes A Night Out Against Time

The 24th Annual National Night Out, a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriffs Station and the City of Santa Clarita, will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2006, from 4 to 7p.m. at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff station.

Rock Throwers In Canyon Country Arrested

Deputies Nab Juveniles Suspected in Rock Throwing Assaults

ImagePatrol deputies and members of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station's Community Interaction Team (CIT) arrested three Canyon Country youths on assault charges Thursday night. The youths are suspected in several incidents of rock throwing assaults on residents in the 25300 block of Camp Plenty Road, dating back to May 2007.

Sheriff's Vehicle Clips VW

At approximately 11:45 AM Saturday morning, a traffic accident involving a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s vehicle and a Volkswagen occurred at the intersection of Sierra Hwy and Placerita Canyon sending the squad car over a ravine. The Sheriff’s Deputy was responding Code 3 (Lights and Siren) to an assault complaint when he clipped the bumper of the VW according to Lt. Walker at the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.
